Private drum lessons for beginners and advanced.
The lessons covering snaredrum technique, reading exercises, rudiments, double pedal coordination exercises, drum set, learning how to play fills, play along with (recorded) music, learn to be the drummer in demand.
All exercises will help every drummer, beginners and veterans alike, gain a better understanding of how all the facets of playing can be applied.
Marcel teaches at his own home studio in Amsterdam.
The on-line lessons I offer allow you to work on your technique,
to give new ideas, to improve your skills, and give you the opportunity to incorporate the exercises into your playing.
The exercises have been designed to help you gain greater independent facility with the second foot.
I would suggest that you start playing the exercises at a certain tempo until they feel comfortable. Play as long as it takes to get a good understanding of what you are playing
Remember that both snare drum and cymbal (hi-hat) are just as important as the bass drum and participate to complete an overall drum groove. When creating patterns in a solo try not to play bits and pieces of memorized exercises.
Eventually, try to exchange simple hand and feet movements by playing simple grooves or a short solo without the aid of the exercises.
